For Workshops:
FAMILY: Indicates an intergenerational workshop with art activities for adults and children to do together. Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults accompanied by a child. All materials are included for making a treasure to take home and memories to keep forever! Prices are per person.
MULTIGENERATIONAL: Indicates a workshop that welcomes students of most ages (see class description for age range).

D058W18 Earth Day Book Arts, Saturday, 4/21, 10 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Jenny Stice

Skill level: ALL
In this multigenerational class, create a whimsical upcycled paper journal with a sewn binding. Assemble a journal from cover to cover with handy bookmakers' tools like awls, needle and thread, and bone folders. Your covers will be decorated with upcycled papers, including wallpaper pattern samples, making this the perfect eco-friendly project in honor of Earth Day.

E061W18 Clay Flower Pot, 4/28, Saturday, 10 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Krissy Catt

Skill level: ALL
This family workshop is for everyone who loves a garden. Create a flower pot that will be perfect for your favorite flower or plant. You will learn handbuilding techniques to build your pot, and then decorate and personalize it to make it your own. You will paint your pottery with a colorful slip to finish. Because of the bisque and glaze firing process, projects will be ready for pickup three weeks after the class.

E052W18 Gorgeous Glass Spring Trinkets, 5/12, Saturday, 1 - 3:30 p.m.
Instructor: Diane Petron

Skill level: ALL
In these multigenerational workshops, learn the basics of glass fusing and then apply your newfound glass skills in the landscape, mosaic or spring trinkets workshop. The mosaic class is a grout-free technique, since we are fusing glass in the kiln. Take one or all workshops! Completed projects will be ready for pickup in two to three weeks after being fired in a kiln by the instructor.

Gorgeous Glass Spring Trinkets: Design beautiful, sparkly glass trinkets for yourself, family, and friends. This workshop is fun for both beginners and experienced fusers. Lots of ideas will be presented, but you may create whatever you wish and as many as you desire. The instructor will guide you in choosing designs that fit your skill level and help you grow. All materials will be provided.

Appropriate for beginners or experienced fusers, this class will focus primarily on color, layout and design. You may cut your own glass shapes or use pieces already cut to create a pleasing design. The firing process will give your pieces the look of stained glass. All materials will be provided.

E019W18 Spring Nature Prints, 5/19, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Genie Castro

Skill level: ALL
In this multigenerational monotype printmaking workshop, our inspiration and subject matter comes from nature. Leaves, flower petals and grasses collected from our backyards will be made into our very own nature prints. Learn how to apply ink to make direct prints, and properly use rubbing tools to make soft leaf impressions. Your colorful, eye-catching nature prints will celebrate the springtime!
