Multigenerational Workshop

In this multigenerational workshop, experiment with relief printmaking techniques to create decorative papers with personality. You will go from sketches to fully-realized designs creating interesting shapes and patterns on paper. This class uses water-based inks, brayers and barens for the printmaking process. Class meets on Saturday, 10/23, from 10-12 p.m.

Family Workshop

Art comes to the pumpkin patch this autumn. Children and adults will take their pick from assorted sizes and colors of pumpkins, selecting the one that can bring your artistic ideas to life. You'll get a feel for painting on a 3-D surface with colorful acrylic-based paints. Sample pumpkin paintings may include portraits of animals or people, scenes from nature, or abstract designs filled with colors and patterns. Class meets on Saturday, 10/30, from 9:30-11 a.m.

B061W21 Holiday Bowl Party, Sat. 11/13, 10 - Noon
Family Workshop

Master basic pinch and coil handbuilding techniques to shape a bowl that's perfect for your holiday snack. Play with new surface design techniques to make interesting lines, textures and patterns. Then attach small figurines, handles, or feet to your bowl to reflect your style. Children and adults create ceramic art together in this hands-on workshop. Because of the bisque and glaze-firing process, projects will be ready for pickup three weeks after the class. Class meets on Saturday, 11/13, from 10-12 p.m.

Multigenerational Workshop

In this multigenerational workshop, create a winter wonderland-inspired art book. Assemble your book from cover to cover using an assortment of bookmaker's tools like awls, needle and thread, or bone folders. Your covers will be decorated with upcycled papers or your own illustrations. This is a book that you can fill with illustrations of favorite winters spent snowbound at a cabin, or home on a snow day. Class meets on Saturday, 12/11, from 1:30-3 p.m.

The building is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day*, Memorial Day and the last week in August through Labor Day.* There is no open studio when the building is closed. 


* Phone lines will be open Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to take class registrations.
