E053W20 Gorgeous Glass Landscape or Portrait, 5/30 & 6/6
Diane Petron
Skill level: ALL

In these multigenerational workshops, learn the basics of glass fusing and then apply your newfound glass skills in the Slumped Plates, Landscape or Portrait, or Jewelry workshop. Beginners learn the basics of cutting and layering glass. Experienced fusers create more challenging projects. Ideas and samples will be provided by the instructor. Take one or all workshops! Completed projects will be ready for pickup in two to three weeks after being fired in a kiln by the instructor.

Gorgeous Glass Landscape or Portrait: Create a fused glass dimensional landscape, either vertical or horizontal. On the first day, you will design your landscape or portrait and create the background using glass in its many forms from stringers to frit. Your piece will then be fired in the kiln for a full fuse. On the second day, you will add details, texture, and dimension in glass. Your piece will then get a tack fuse in the kiln, so your details will stand out against the background.
