C040W22 Valentine's Origami Art
Instructor: Kathleen Sheridan

Let's create handmade Valentine's Day origami art which is sure to impress. You will learn step-by-step folding techniques to make heart-inspired origami that tucks inside a mailing envelope. This class includes origami paper kits with brightly colored and patterned origami paper, which you will fold into Valentine's creations. With your newfound paper folding skills, you'll be ready to send origami Valentines to your friends and family all around the world! This is a welcoming and creative multigenerational learning experience open to all experience levels.

Winter Prints & Paper
Instructor: Erin Stahl
Skill level: ALL

In this family workshop, experiment with relief printmaking techniques to create decorative papers with personality. The winter season will inspire our designs! Winter ideas include geometric snowflake prints, paper that swirls with the colors of the Northern Lights, or Valentine's Day prints celebrating the season of love. Make multiple color prints filled with interesting shapes and patterns on paper. This class uses water based inks, brayers and barens for the printmaking process.

Enrollment limited to 12; Children with adult, ages 8+. Prices are per person.

Family: Indicates an intergenerational workshop with art activities for adults and children to do together. Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults accompanied by a child.

  • Please note that all Early Registration and New Student Discounts can only be processed by registering in-person or by phone. The building is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day*, Memorial Day and the last week in August through Labor Day.* There is no open studio when the building is closed. 

 

* Phone lines will be open Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to take class registrations.  

 

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
