See how colors swirl, blend and pop in your paintings. Color marbling and kaleidoscope effects will inspire this camp. Sample activities include wet-into-wet watercolor painting, abstract painting, and complementary color projects. Enrollment limited to 16. (Group B & C)

Experience the art of the mosaic, creating images by arranging small pieces, or tesserae, which can be ceramic, glass or trinkets, found objects, and more. Make a mosaic board keepsake with shiny objects from glass gems to vintage buttons. Enrollment limited to 16. (Group B & C)

Wake up your painting skills by taking a look at sunrises, sunsets, and Northern Lights. Experiment with primary colors and lights as you mix your own shades to create moods and striations of the solar light show. With a variety of brushes, painting tools, techniques and practice you will make gorgeous landscape paintings of the sky. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Study the colorful patterns found around us. Inspiration can come from nature, fashion or art. Ideas are everywhere! Next make a design using shapes, symbols, and colors that have a special, personal meaning. Experience the art of relief printmaking, and leave camp with a bright patterned design on a tee shirt. Watercolor painting is a fluid, fascinating artform with many interesting techniques. With a focus on fun, play with watercolors as you dab, splot, and splash paint onto the special watercolor papers. You will experiment with effects and unexpected tools like string, soap, tissue paper, sponges and more. Enrollment limited to 16.

These creations can be intimate and personal, humorous or descriptive, commemorations of a special person or event, it's up to you. Using found images, watercolors, inks, and more you will create a memorable place to reflect your visions, thoughts, feelings or memories. You will use a variety of collage materials to express yourself creating a tiny world all your own. Enrollment limited to 16.

Let's combine different media to make artworks that sing! With drawing, paper arts, and water based paints you will see how to use materials in new and playful ways. You will use pencils, markers, oil pastels and watercolors and papers as you add layers to your artwork. Mix it up to express yourself. Enrollment limited to 16.

Making jewelry and wearable sculpture is easy and fun to do when you have a variety of beads, small found objects and findings. You will be shown examples that will stir your imagination as you create with wire, beads, rolled paper, and much more. you may make something that you want to share with someone special. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

  • If this is your first time registering online, please read the detailed instructions linked to the home page. 

  • Liability Waiver Requirement: Before you can attend a class or workshop at the Art Center, we must have a signed RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. If you register online you must review and indicate you accept the terms of this release before you will be directed to the classes. If you register by phone, the Registrar will email you a link to the waiver you must complete before your registration can be processed. If you register in person, you will be asked to complete the waiver on our tablet or on your phone. 

  • MY ART HOME  Create and test drive your login well in advance of the opening of registration for faster checkout and access to your account info such as class registrations, donations, membership status, etc. Use the link in the pink box above to create or access your MY ART HOME account. You may register online without an account, but you will not receive your membership discount. Your discount is always available when registering by phone or in person. 
  • Select the class, enter the number of attendees and click "Add classes" at the bottom of the page. Complete the information requested and click "CONTINUE" to add that class to your cart. You can select additional classes from the shopping cart by clicking on the links at the top of the page, or check out if you are done. NOTE: Please be sure to complete all the fields with a red asterisk to proceed to the payment page.

Please note that the New Student Discount can only be processed by registering in-person or by phone. This discount cannot be applied retroactively and it does not apply to birthday parties, subsidized classes, or Summer Arts Camp (SAC). The building is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day*, Memorial Day and the last week in August through Labor Day.* There is no open studio when the building is closed. 

 

* Phone lines will be open Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to take class registrations.
