See how colors blend, swirl and pop in your paintings.Color marbling and kaleidoscope effects will inspire this camp. Sample activities include wet-into-wet watercolor painting, abstract painting, and complementary color projects. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Make kinetic sculpture that you can fiddle with whenever you feel like it. Everyday objects will be used to make small assemblage artworks for everyday use. Explore and experiment with art materials, found objects and natural materials while you create your own widget sculpture. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Wake up your painting skills by taking a look at sunrises, sunsets, and Northern Lights. Experiment with primary colors and light as you mix your own shades to create the moods and striations of the solar light show. With a variety of brushes, painting tools, techniques and practice you will make gorgeous landscape paintings of the sky. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Experience the art of the mosaic, creating images by arranging small pieces, or tesserae, which can be ceramic, glass, trinkets, and more. Make a mosaic board keepsake using decorative and shiny objects from glass gems to vintage buttons. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Starting with wide mouth jars as our base, this class will create tiny habitats. It's your choice of a miniature greenhouse or an ocean reef. You will use an amalgam of natural and artificial objects to make these fascinating, tiny worlds. Mixed media of paint, paper, shells, branches, and rocks will be used along with other materials. Enrollment limited to 16. (Groups B & C)

Let's study the colorful patterns found around us. Inspiration can come from nature, fashion, or art. Ideas are everywhere! Next make a design using shapes, symbols and colors that have a special, personal meaning. Experience the art of relief printmaking, and leave camp with a bright, patterned design on a new T-shirt. There is no open studio when the building is closed. * Phone lines will be open Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to take class registrations.	This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
			The Minnetonka Center for the Arts is accessible to students with disabilities.
